How are you going to deal with your risks?
Who does what, and when?
You now have a list of “Things to Do”. In the Action Plan, you write down which measures you will be taking to solve the risks. Don’t forget: prevention is better than cure! So, try to deal with the cause of the risk rather than the consequences.
Run through the risks one by one and state exactly how they can be prevented or reduced. Which measure will you take? What do you need for that? Who will do it and when? How much will it cost? When will you be happy with it? Don’t forget to fill in the knowledge and experience required to do it too. State explicitly within which term the measures will be implemented, as the Inspectorate SZW may ask about that.
Are you looking for potential solutions or measures to control the risks in your business?
The Occupational Health & Safety Catalogue (Arbocatalogus) might help. The Occupational Health & Safety Catalogue is a digital document that prescribes solutions and recommendations per sector to ensure healthy and safe work.
The Occupational Health & Safety Catalogue, if available, can be found on the same on page as the RI&E instrument for your sector.
